Joe Sutanto joined Alligator Energy in 2025 as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, bringing over 20 years of financial and commercial leadership across the resources sector.

Before joining Alligator, Joe spent more than a decade with Hillgrove Resources where he advanced through a series of senior leadership roles, ultimately serving as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. During this time, he guided Hillgrove through a major transformation, leading its financial and corporate functions as the company transitioned from care and maintenance to successful commercial production. His strategic leadership in capital management, project financing, and corporate governance was instrumental in driving Hillgrove’s turnaround and sustained growth.

A CPA qualified accountant, Joe holds an MBA jointly awarded by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and London Business School and has completed the Company Directors Course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

At Alligator Energy, Joe’s extensive experience in financial strategy, capital structuring, and operational readiness underpins the company’s progress as it completes the Samphire Field Recovery Trial and advances toward feasibility and project development.
